the reality...

of our economy.

is making it impossible for us.

and it's getting me down you know. housing has been the biggest pain in our side for 2 years now! it hasn't gotten any easier. we think we know what we are supposed to do and then it all falls and i have to wonder if it is a sign we shouldn't build or a reason to work harder.

we have been working on a constuction loan for months now and it is just not working, period.
the plans are done the hole was ready to dig and now it all falls apart with the new regulations on a construction loan. last night our mortgage lady showed us that we were qualified for a conventional loan with the building price but we couldn't qualify for a construction loan, go figure.

so, the lack of blogging is due to our housing turmoil and the weight of what the heck we are going to do.......

hi h! I just founcha. you said maybe your making of life would be a blog book. I say keep writing. V.S.Naipaul said that each novel needs to invent its own language. Well you have your own language. I see a book in you. Keep it up! (for this and other reasons--like your friendship--I'm glad you went through connecticut...)

So sorry things are not working out. Maybe it's not working out because you're supposed to move to Iowa to live by your friends :-) No, really, I'm so sorry you've had this struggle for the last 2 years. I really hope something will work out for you guys soon!! Love you!

LOL...you are right...it is getting us all down! We had the SAME thing happen to us...thus, we gave up the whole plan and put our lot up for sale. (After paying money for plans, organizing a cost breakdown, lining up subs...the whole deal.) We have just decided to stay where we are and love it. I know that is not good news, but just know you aren't alone in this! GOOD LUCK!
